Robyn has announced a 20th anniversary vinyl reissue for her breakthrough self-titled album – see the details below.
The Swedish pop singer released her fourth studio album ‘Robyn’ in April 2005 via her own label Konichiwa Records. It included the UK Number One single ‘With Every Heartbeat’, as well as ‘Be Mine!’ and ‘Who’s That Girl’, and it went on to be nominated for a Grammy for Best Electronic/Dance Album.
Now, the album will be reissued on limited edition “coke bottle-clear” vinyl, complete with the artwork from its special edition Record Store Day release in 2005. The 2xLP package will be released on September 12 via UMR / Island Records – pre-order here.

Robyn’s most recent studio album was 2018’s ‘Honey’, which NME awarded four stars and noted: “From an artist who conjures up so many lofty titles – pop genius being one of them – this is a record that takes an altogether different tack to cut through to the raw, complex tangle of emotion.”
In March, she made a surprise appearance joining Jamie xx on stage in Copenhagen for a live version of their track ‘Life’, which was released on his album ‘In Waves’ in 2024.
She also teamed up with David Byrne for renditions of ‘Dancing On My Own’ and ‘This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)’ at Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary concert in February.
Another surprise appearance came at London’s O2 Arena last November when she popped up at Charli XCX’s show. Alongside Yung Lean, they played their version of ‘360’ from the ‘Brat’ remix album, followed by ‘Dancing On My Own’.
In 2020, Robyn was honoured as the Songwriter Of The Decade at the NME Awards. Presented the award by Charli XCX and Héloïse Letissier of Christine And The Queens, Robyn went on to say: “I’ve prepared a long speech. I feel like I’m at the awards show at the Fifth Element, the [Luc Besson] film and I’m very flattered for the appreciation that NME has shown me over the years. But this is kind of a lifelong prize to be the Songwriter Of The Decade and I appreciate it so much.”
