The dramatic finale of the fourth season of The Traitors will be available to watch in cinemas later this week.
The twists and turns of the new run of the reality show have been keeping audiences guessing since it premiered on New Year’s Day, and now fans are preparing for the final three episodes to bring season four to a close.
The climax arrives on Friday (January 23) on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, and several cinemas around the UK will be showing the finale live on the big screen.
Venues that are offering the big screen option in London are the Exhibit Cinema in Balham, Genesis in Bethnal Green, the Picturehouse in Finsbury Park and Clapham Grand. The Light in Stockport is also offering the option to watch the livestream, as is Mockingbird in Birmingham, Cultplex in Manchester, and Showroom in Sheffield.
Going into the final week, the two remaining traitors, Rachel and Stephen, find themselves presented with an unprecedented task – to decide which contestant will be awarded the ‘dagger’ that will allow them a double vote in the next roundtable banishment.
In the final, the prize pot – which is likely to stand at over £50,000 – will be shared among the remaining contestants, unless there are any traitors left, in which case, they will take all of the money for themselves.
Some intrepid fans of the show believe they have hacked a way to predict who will be eliminated in all future episodes of the season, by pairing them thematically with the special guests on each episode of the show’s spin-off, The Traitors: Uncloaked.
The show first aired in 2022 and has been hosted since the start by Claudia Winkleman. It is based on the Dutch series De Verraders and is produced by Studio Lambert, who also oversee Gogglebox and Race Across The World.
Earlier in the season, Fiona’s shock confrontation with Rachel was described by some as one of the best moments in Traitors history.
It was also recently confirmed that a second season of the British celebrity version has been commissioned, with the season one finale being described by some viewers as “perhaps the best piece of reality TV in years”.
