Following the success of Fortnite’s crossover with The Simpsons at the end of last year, it looks like South Park is set to come to the hit battle royale game.
Fortnite creators Epic Games have yet to confirm any details about the planned South Park crossover but according to several dataminers and leakers, the collaboration is definitely happening. Here’s everything we know so far.
What will the South Park X Fortnite Crossover include?
Last month, HYPEX claimed that the Fortnite X South Park crossover would go beyond the typical offering of skins and cosmetic rewards. The map is rumoured to be reworked to include at least one new boss and the ‘Everyone Kills Kenny’ rift anomaly while mech-skins will make a return after being used in The Simpsons event. A respawn token and an “unknown” consumable are also set to be added to the game.

It’s also been reported that a limited-time new Mythic item called The Stick Of Truth will be added, inspired by the South Park video game of the same name. Leaker Wensoing has claimed that The Stick Of Truth will have the game-changing ability to affect the shrinking storm circle that dominates every battle royale match, so it has the potential to shake things up in a big way if the leaks are correct…
When will the South Park X Fortnite collab go live?
No release date for the South Park event has been confirmed. A major content update is set to go live later this week (January 9) but since Epic Games haven’t started teasing the South Park crossover yet, it’s unlikely to be surprise-released.
The Simpsons mini-event went live between the end of Chapter Six, Season Four and the start of Chapter Seven, Season One. The current Fortnite season is set to end March 4, so we might be waiting a while to see Kenny, Stan, Cartman and Kyle in the battle royale.
According to Epic Games, The Simpsons event led to “biggest number of new and returning Fortnite players” for more than a year with several dedicated animated shorts released on Disney+ as part of the crossover. According to leakers, crossovers with Harry Potter and SpongeBob SquarePants are also in the works.
In other news, a mysterious Fallout countdown has appeared on the Amazon Prime Video website, with a big reveal set to coincide with the end of season two.
