The original advert, for the clothing retailer Gap, saw the two musicians sitting together on a white flight of stairs and singing a highly-stylised version of Sly And The Family Stone’s 1969 single ‘Everyday People’, produced by Zaytoven.
Now, after eight years, the seemingly random and cringeworthy nature of the clip has seen it become a viral hit on social media, with TikTok users filming their own parodies and recreations of the ad’s awkward vibe.

Elsewhere, Cher said late last year that her next album would be her last. Talking in support of the release of Cher: The Memoir, Part One in November, she said she was “really excited” about the project, describing the new songs as “great”.
Her most recent LP was ‘Christmas’ in 2023, the first album to feature original music from the legendary singer in 10 years. Her 27th solo album in total, it contained the single ‘DJ Play A Christmas Song’.
Cher is currently in a relationship with 38-year-old artist and producer Alexander “A.E.” Edwards, and has said that she “like[s] hanging with younger people, not just men”.
“I like young people because a lot of my friends don’t want to have that much fun. They can just go off and be old fogies,” she added.
In early 2023, Cher revealed that was making two new albums with Edwards in the UK. “Some of the songs Alexander gave me, so I’m pretty excited about that,” she explained at the time. “He’s a producer and a writer and he does everything, so I’m happy about that. I think like any artist, when you’ve got something good, you’re excited.”
As for Future, he recently appeared ‘Fxck Up The World’, a track on Lisa from BLACKPINK’s debut solo album ‘Alter Ego’, which was released in February. Last year, he released two collaborative albums with Metro Boomin, ‘We Don’t Trust You’ and ‘We Still Don’t Trust You’.
